Moon

Post by Reciprocityrules » Tue Jul 24, 2018 1:36 am

The sky was clear, still light, but the moon was bright. I figured I'd snap a shot of the moon with my still bird settings. Not too shabby.

Just whipped out the camera at my bird settings - hand held, 420/840mm, f/5.6, 1/400, ISO 200....it was still pretty light outside. This is just a cropped JPEG - right out of the camera...it shocked the hell out of me.

Not from me kind sir. I get the reference, (another fav!) but I think of myself as a dancing bear, and others have likened me to the groundhog in Caddyshack. Not a pretty sight.

Haha! I've been known to moon dance, but only when nobody is looking - only the moon.

Would that be Simon Smith and his amazing dancing bear ? ( where the hell did that reference come from, he asks...)
Caddy Shack! Poor Bill Murray and his hapless vendetta against the gopher , which was clearly a mile smarter than he was :-)

One of the coolest things I saw was a lunar eclipse while driving to work. I had a straight shot for about 20 minutes with the moon dead ahead; it was on my birthday. What a birthday present to remember...too cool!
