Woodland Walk

Post by David_MC » Tue May 08, 2018 3:38 pm

Walked one of my favorite parks with all of the vegetation grown in made for a challenge to find some interesting scenes. This first one I noticed when I entered the park. I saw the uniformity in all of the trees except for one which was leaning and breaking up the pattern.

This next one I noticed later on. I was keeping an eye on the forest floor and watching the light was lighting up certain parts and came across this Spiderwort flower that was back light by a ray punching through the trees.

Both pictures are very strong, David.
I wonder if more bark detail could be extracted from the b&W photo ?

Hi David
I like the variations in light in both. I especially like the light on the purple flower, highlighting it against the background. This is my fav of the two
For me, the tree trunk running across the vertical trunks is more distracting. But that’s just me.
Great job capturing mood and light in both!
