I'm not going to take Tony's advice, per se, since I don't like Sony cameras. All I was trying to point out is that the two major complaints about the A9 early on aren't really a factor and that's overheating and banding. His photographic skills have nothing to do with the camera's performance from a technical standpoint.
My dislike of the Sony camera is its ergonomics....it's a miserable little thing for someone with big hands. Even if it was the be all and end all, were I a real action shooter, I'd sell my left kidney and buy a 1DxII and the 500, 600 and 800mm primes. Besides, who'd want my kidneys? They make stones.
As it is, and you can see by the shots I posted in the Sports section, that action shooting is something that isn't a priority. If I ever upgrade from my 5DIII, it would be a 5DIV. My son has upgraded his 5DIIIs to IVs (Wedding shooter) and he loves them!
